My Experience in C4G
When I started college, I decided I wanted to study medicine because I thought it would give me a great change to do something for the world. I realized very quickly though that the subject was simply not for me. After bouncing around for a while, I ended up getting a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in computer science. Doing this, I thought I would have to give up on “helping the world”. This C4G class though showed me that I can do both, something I love and I’m good at, and, something that can help the world. This was shown not just with the project I worked on (CDC Act Early) but also through the other projects that students were working on. I learned there is something all of us can do in our respective fields, we just have to have the motivation and knowledge (or the will to learn) to do it. I plan to carry on this lesson for as long as I study and practice computer science and programming.
